We are now accepting applications for 2019 residencies at Historic Joy Kogawa House, the childhood home of Joy Kogawa.

The house, located in the Vancouver neighbourhood of Marpole, operates as a heritage and cultural centre and as a site of healing and reconciliation. Writers whose work resonates with these aims are strongly encouraged to apply.

Residencies offer precious time and space for authors to progress their practice and projects, while establishing new links with the community. Even more precious are those residencies situated in an inspiring setting such as the former home of one of Canada’s most important and esteemed authors. This is the only residency application intake for 2019.

Applications are open now – and are due by 12:00 midnight, Saturday, March 31, 2018.

Find out more about the residency program and submit your application soon!
