Gregory Tatchell

Gregory Tatchell

In residence at Historic Joy Kogawa House in December 2021.

In 2010, Greg produced a major work on the experience of the Japanese Canadians in WWII and beyond, as partial fulfillment for his MDiv degree (Relinquished: The Seat of Deitie Supream Us Dispossest. The Disposition of Japanese Canadian Anglican Churches and Funds: 1942 1949).

A key part of the work was the involvement of Joy Kogawa and her brother, Timothy Nakagawa.

While living in residence at Historic Joy Kogawa House in December 2021, Greg is finishing off his first major work since that time, an exploration of spirituality in a Benedictine context: Life Together, Under God’s Word, In Christ, In Prayer.

Brother Gregory is a Professed life vowed Benedictine, and this work is the final fulfillment of seven years of discernment and exploration.
