
Jacqueline Pearce

Jacqueline Pearce grew up on Vancouver Island. She has published poetry, short non-fiction, and several novels for children. Her haiku have won awards and appeared in a variety of publications, including the Haiku Canada Review, Frogpond, The Red Moon Anthology, and Of Skin on Skin, an anthology of erotic haiku.
Jacqueline’s writing for children has been anthologized in Up All Night (Thistledown Press, 2001) and Opening Tricks (Thistledown Press, 1999). She is the author of The Reunion (2002), Emily’s Dream (2005), The Truth About Rats (and Dogs) (2006), Manga Touch (2007), Mystery of the Missing Luck (2011), Flood Warning (2012), and Siege (2014), all Orca Books.
Jacqueline was writer-in-residence at Historic Joy Kogawa House in August and September 2017, and hosted a haiku event in February 2017.
