Kevin Wesaquate is a spoken word poet, visual artist, and community builder from Piapot First Nation, based in Saskatoon. He is the founder of the Indigenous Poetry Society and a Virtual Artist Teacher for Northern communities through TakingITGlobal’s Connected North program.
Kevin has represented Saskatoon at national poetry slams and festivals and recently completed the Indigenous Fine Arts Residency Ghost Days: Making Art for Spirit at the Banff Centre. His performance work Sahkihitok debuted at Nuit Blanche Saskatoon, reflecting his ongoing commitment to art, community, and the spirit of connection.
