Joy Kogawa is one of 100 greatest British Columbians, according to the book The BC Almanac Book of Greatest British Columbians authored by CBC Radio’s BC Almanac host Mark Forsythe. Kogawa is listed among the top 10 literary figures including the inaugural Canadian poet Laureate George Bowering, poet Dorothy Livesay and Wayson Chow.
