The Historic Joy Kogawa House is becoming a Place that Matters to Vancouver and you are invited to come and celebrate on Tuesday, June 26.
Please join us for the unveiling of a commemorative plaque courtesy of the Vancouver Heritage Foundation. Joy Kogawa’s house was nominated as one of the 125 historic sites that matter to Vancouverites during the VHF’s Places That Matter project celebrating Vancouver’s 125th birthday.
- The event will start at 7pm with a reception. Light refreshments will be served.
- Speeches and entertainment will start at 7:30pm ending with the unveiling of the plaque.
- TLC The Land Conservancy, the Historic Joy Kogawa Society and the Vancouver Heritage Foundation will all have representatives who will speak. Special guest, Joy Kogawa, will participate.
- Afterwards, the guests are welcome to mingle at the house until 9pm.
