Music and Poetry with Isabella Mori

Join us for a late afternoon event with poetry, music, and images!

Inspired by her new chapbook Not So Pretty Haiku, Isabella Mori, together with her jazz musician husband Glenn Mori, will take you on a journey of melancholic poetry, nature images, and melodic improvisation. (Listen to Glenn here.)

Participants will have a chance to write their own poetry.

Ticket price includes a copy of the chapbook and a cocktail — or mocktail.

Chapbooks will also be available for sale and signing at the event.

Isabella Mori has published two books of poetry, A bagful of haiku — 87 imperfections, and Isabella Mori’s Teatable Book. She won the Cecilia Lamont prize for poetry in 2018. Mori also writes short stories, novels, and non-fiction, and was a translation contributor (from English to German) to Reading Canada, a profile of Canada’s diverse literature commissioned for the 2017 Frankfurt Book Fair. Mori has a Masters in Education and works in the mental health/addiction field. She lives in Vancouver.
