Shut Up And Write meet-ups place the typically solitary activity of writing into a more social space. The idea is simple: a group of people get together and focus on their own writing, with short breaks to socialise – “No critiquing, exercises, lectures, ego, competition or feeling guilty.”

Welcome to the new website for Historic Joy Kogawa House! After about a month of redevelopment, we’re proud to unveil this new website, with the promise of more features to come. We’re launching a revitalized website to coincide with our open call for applications to our 2016 residencies program. Preliminary applications are due Monday, February 1.
