The Historic Joy Kogawa House Society is proud to present author Peter Busby discussing the work of Vancouver artist Peter Akroyd.
Jack Akroyd’s paintings often situated emblematic Japanese images, such as torrii, samurai, and Mount Fuji, in West Coast landscapes with orcas and scuba divers and other local detail. Author Peter Busby discusses Japanese influences in the art of this local Vancouver painter, from his book The Life and Art of Jack Akroyd, the eighth in the Unheralded Artists of BC series from Mother Tongue Publishing.
